INQUISITOR ROYAL LAUNCH
11 January 2012: I held a virtual launch party for Inquisitor Royal, the sequel to A Sorcerer Slain, which was published as an eBook on 4 January. Guests enjoyed top quality cyber-fizz, byte-sized virtual canapes and an in-depth preview of the book with a little about where the ideas came from. There was also an opportunity to browse the first chapter. Most of my guests were surprisingly well behaved and had taken the precaution of booking cyber-taxes home!
INTERVIEW WITH MORGEN BAILEY
Wednesday 21 December 2011: I followed in the footsteps of notable authors who have been grilled by the wonderful Morgen Bailey, including Sue Moorcroft, Adrian Magson, Graham Hurley, Stephen Booth, Mark Billingham and Carole Matthews. You can still find the interview at http://wp.me/p18Ztn-1xX.
COMPETITION SUCCESS
8 December 2011: I attended Chiltern Writers' Christmas Social and learned that I had won first prize in their short story competition judged by top writer Carole Matthews. Carole described my winning story, Pink With Envy, as 'a masterclass in how to construct a short story'. It's always good to have your work appreciated, but praise from someone at the top of the tree is especially satisfying. Here I am receiving part of the prize, a copy of her Carole's latest international bestseller, Wrapped Up in You.
